GWAR E-Juice from MtBakerVapor

Hey everybody! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season, and I hope I'm not the only one who is happy that it's finally over! Today, I'll be reviewing MtBakerVapors GWAR line. This isn't a gimmick people, I'd wager it's some of the best juice you can get from MtBakerVapor - and a 30ml is only 10.99, proving you don't have to pay for premium. If GWAR themselves vape it, how can you not?

I wouldn't argue with 'em, just saying.

All of these juices were tested using a Cana DNA 30w device, 30 watts, using a magma with a single coil reading at 1.2 ohm. The juice provided utilized food coloring, however MBV offers it uncolored as well. All GWAR flavors come in a standard 50/50 ratio, with your preferred level of nicotine, in 30ml glass bottles with a dropper.

DescriptionA primarily melon flavor with hints of mixed fruits and berries. From the wretched bowels of Scumdogs to your lips. A true Gwar classic.
Impression: I'll get this right out of the way - when I first picked up Spew, I hated it. Not because it tasted bad - but because I apparently hate honey dew / melon. So after a few months, I'm in a position to once again try it. Let me tell you, vaping this out of a magma at 30 watts vs an innokin clearomizer, you'd swear it was a different juice. The overall flavor profile is still there - it is decidedly melon, with a hint of berry. The inhale is uniquely sweet and fruity, with the exhale allowing a mix of melon and berry to permeate. The wretched bowels of scumdogs are apparently inherently tasty and delicious, if not deceptive - if you've visited this juice in the past before, try it out of a flavor-chaser (magma, plume veil, orchid, kayfun) you will be floored. Keep in mind however, the honey dew / melon combination is the primary flavor, so if you're not sold on that, you may want to steer clear.
Rating : 4/5 - it is delicious, tasty, and true-to-life melon goodness - however, it is just a touch too sweet, and not something I could vape constantly.

DescriptionA sweet cake flavor with the perfect combination of chocolate, coconut, and caramel. This liquid was concocted from an ancient recipe enjoyed by all who reside on the planet Cholesterol.
Impression: Just one drip and I was hooked. Seriously, I booked a first class flight to planet Cholesterol and never looked back. The inhabitants of Planet Cholesterol all vape, and GCB flows like water. In all honesty, this is a damn fine juice, and if you're a dessert junkie desperately hunting down the latest custard, cake, or a similarly decadent juice, do yourself a favor - grab a bottle of German Chocolate Beefcake. Within the 30ml bottle is devilishly divine mixture of coconut, chocolate caramel, and cake flavoring. I primarily picked up on the coconut and chocolate mix - that is, until I dripped this on a twisted coil, and began to salivate from the mouth just thinking about it. With the right device and build, you'd swear this was a 19-26.99 bottle of juice - the inhale is rich in coconut flakes and a caramel drizzle, with the exhale tasting of frosted chocolate cake. I was actually quite surprised that such a complex flavor delivered so well - I ran this bottle empty in about two days time.
Rating : 5/5 - a simply wonderful dessert liquid, and probably one of the very few liquids that live's up to it's description and more.

Description A creamy blueberry blend with notes of nut and custard. Each bottle of Jizmoglobin is freshly harvested by Skulhedface herself.
Impression: Skulhedface, as she so eloquently puts it, should really ramp up production on the Jizmoglobin harvesting, 'cause this juice is tasty. The description is an accurate representation of the juice - though I noticed some who have tried it seem to detect a blueberry pie taste. Personally, I get all custard and nut - almost an almond like taste. The blueberry is definitely there, but it isn't as pronounced as I expected - though this isn't a bad thing. The custard taste is more of a sweet cream like custard, not the semi-sweet and eggy blend you'd find in other custard juices. The inhale packs the custard taste, with the exhale stomping all over the place with it's rich, slightly sharp almond nutty taste. It's a winner of a combination, and is a juice I simply can't put down . Personally, I don't like anything getting in the way of my custard, but I'll be damned in a hint of blueberry and a kick of nuts doesn't do it's diligence.
Rating 5/5 - 2 for 3, we're on a roll - if you like  custard and blueberry, and itching for a twist on the classic dessert, you can't go wrong.

Description Our lords and masters Gwar commanded we make an Ry4 worthy of them. This is our take on a classic vanilla caramel tobacco flavor.
Impression: As a large majority of smokers convert to vapors, it is only fitting that the lords and masters command a proper RY4. Now, you know you're onto something good when a former smoker turned vapor despised tobacco liquid, yet ate up GwarY4 like it was going out of business. Perhaps it is because the tobacco flavoring isn't too strong, or that the caramel and vanilla is prominent and delicious - who knows. What I do know, is this juice surprised the hell out of me. GwarY4 definitely perfects the RY4 blend - a classic tobacco taste with a caramel and vanilla twist. Once I popped the dropper off, the familiar and tasty smell of caramel and vanilla immediately struck a chord, and from first taste, I was hooked. The caramel and vanilla combo really is a perfect blend, and honestly, I'd love to see a variant without the tobacco. However, for those who are consistently chasing that tobacco taste, or just want a classic twist on a tried and true, do yourself a favor and pick this up. I'd go as far as recommending this to those who desperately avoid tobacco flavors - it is fantastic.
Rating : 4/5 - a classic tobacco liquid with a deceptively decadent dessert twist. Love or hate tobacco, give it a shot - you may be just as surprised as I was.

Description A powerful tropical fruit blend specially designed to satisfy the bloodlust of every scumdog in the universe.
Impression: To be frank, I wasn't a fan of this juice from the get go - I initially anticipated it to be one of the best of the bunch, going by the description - tropical fruit, right? Eh, not so much. I'm still working through the bottle, and the taste is growing on me, however I still am not getting much of a "fruit taste." In all honesty, it tastes very, very similar to the Hawaiin Punch juice. The only missing thing is the carbonation, really, 'cause the fruit blend afforded to us is really probably the recipe for Hawaiin Punch. It's not bad, but it may have to grow on you - I don't hate it, but I probably wouldn't revisit it in the future.
Rating : 3/5 - not bad, a bit deceptive if anything, but has all the potential to be a favorite for someone.

I'd like to thank the guys at MtBakerVapor for making this possible. Your help in my endeavors have been monumental, and for that I cannot thank you enough. Everybody get over to MtBakerVapor and snag a bottle or two from the GWAR line - you won't be disappointed.

Keep an eye out for my Cana DNA30W and Magma review - a combo that absolutely crushes most devices out there. Thanks for stopping by!

Smoktech 18350 Mechanical ePipe Mod

Today, I'll be covering the Smoktech 18350 mechanical ePipe mod, provided to me by Northwest Vapors. This will be a two part review, I will be covering their juice and accessories following this. The ePipe is a well made, functional device, almost a novelty of sort. I'm genuinely enjoying the portability and look that it affords, not to mention the buttery smooth switch, a luxury in the mech world. Let's get to it!

I've come to a pretty solid conclusion in my blogging/review venture. Sending out invitation to review product isn't always an enjoyable affair. The majority of companies are very supportive of my endeavor, however at the end of the day, it is likened to a "cold call" of sorts. Outside of circumventing the stigma, one of the most important things I have learned outside of ask and you shall receive, is...

A little bit of searching can lead to diamonds in the rough.

I had never heard of the company NorthWest Vapors, being an Arizona native, as well as a staple customer of high traffic establishments such as 101vape and mtbakervapor. I stumbled upon them one morning looking for companies to work with, and after a very pleasant exchange with Will and Tim, I found myself eagerly anticipating a package. When you deal with a new company and new product, it is a 50/50 shot. You could love it, or you could hate it. In this instance, I am completely floored by Northwest Vapors. Not only do they have very reasonable prices, the carry a decent array of product and make some of the best e-liquid I've ever had the pleasure of sampling.

As a reviewer, I do not use "best" lightly. I am not biased in the sort, I offer an honest review on every product I receive. It is a great feeling to know that I have found yet another company I can support along my vaping journey. With that in mind, lets get to the review!

The Smoktech Epipe is an 18360 stainless steel mechanical mod. It houses a single battery, both button and flat top. It is in my experience that a flat top battery fits better, but I have managed to use an eFest button top successfully. It is made with chrome plated brass, thankfully, as similar designs often fall victim to severe voltage drop. It sports a sealed 510 connection with a large ego well, so thankfully you do not need to use an adapter. The firing switch is enclosed with a delrin insert, so while the spring is replaceable, the throw is not adjustable. The switch is your standard spring, what I assume to be gold plated stainless. I'd suggest opting out for a brass spring to reduce any lingering voltage drop, as well as promote conductivity. The end caps are knurled, and quite nicely, allowing for a snug fit when palmed.

It's a pretty nice piece, to be completely honest. Here's what I like about the ePipe

  • Aesthetic appeal
It's a mechanical pipe, what more can I say? It's certainly a center piece, more of an attraction than all day device. I'm tempted to pick up some longer drip tips to compliment the design further, but as is, it is entirely snazzy. I anticipate it'll garner quite a bit of attention, being the focal point of conversation in the near future. The chrome design compliments the aesthetic factor well, as gives off an authentic vibe, not a steampunk/retro appeal I'd imagine something like brass would garner.
  • Functionality
Those familiar with the Hammer (by Kato, though cloned by many) can ascertain to this. The pipe like tube design can suffer from some pretty substantial voltage drop. In my test, I noticed 0.2 drop at best. Not ideal, but nothing I can particularly gripe about. While I would recommend you only use clearomizers (iclear 16 seems to compliment it well, as does the protank 2), it is comforting to know it can perform under the constraints the design affords.

  • Ease of use
When you're constantly toying with mechanical mods featuring telescoping pins, floating 510 connections, magnetic batteries, rebuild-able atomizers and drippers, it's almost a luxury to come across something that has an aurora of simplicity. With the ePipe, you simply pop in your battery and screw in your 510/ego carto of choice and go. No fiddling with a switch, no adjusting a center pin.

Not only that, but it just fits perfectly in your hand. I keep it in my palm, in between my index and middle finger. You can fire easily with your index as it rests, and it isn't in the least bit awkward, nor does it require any force. The switch depresses with ease, and for a spring, this was quite impressive.

  • Construction
I am a huge fan of brass, and this is no slouch. Not only is it fairly conductive, it is heavy. Usually, we can (and I say USUALLY) liken heavy to quality...not always, but in this case, you can definitely gauge the craftsmanship by having it in the palm of your hand. It has a good weight to it, the knurled ends are fantastic, and the 510 connection has fired everything I've thrown at. For a novelty piece, I wasn't anticipating such a quality design, but I was surprised.

I am pleased to say I haven't found anything to complain about when testing out the Epipe by Smoktech. It is functional, it is appealing, it is well made. I have to say, what caught my eye initially was the look factor. I wasn't expecting performance like this, and I'm happy to say my expectations were definitely exceeded. I'd like to thank NorthWest Vapors for giving me the opportunity to try it, and I suggest that all my readers get over there pronto and check out their accessories and line of juice

PO3 Side filling Cartomizer Tank

Today,  I will be reviewing a side filling pyrex cartotank (dubbed the PO3) I received from thevaporbar, courtesy of Schell.  I will also review an assortment of juices, however that will be separate. Schell was an absolute pleasure to deal with, a personable woman who has a deep understanding and appreciation for the industry. I must say, it is great dealing with somebody who resonates with passion for her craft. Take a look at their storefront for a wide selection of tanks,  juice and accessories.

This tank is nothing short of a dream. The owner assured me that they are made by hand, which is a tremendous testament to its quality and workmanship.  It is a unique design, lending it’s likeliness to Texas Tuff Tanks, as well as IBTanked offerings. The cartotank is a simple concept. You take a typical cartomizer (xl, or L, slotted or punched) and fill it with liquid of your choosing. You then thread the cartomizer through the aluminum caps that hold the glass in place, fill up through a thumb screw located on the side of the pyrex, and enjoy!I will attach an instructional video that thevaporbar provides, as it is of  considerable detail and a foolproof walkthrough.

They’re offered in a variety of styles and color. You can purchase the economy tank, made of citrus and cinnamon resistant material at 10.99, complete with the sidescrew . They also offer premium PO3 tanks, up to the Pyrex Side filling PO3 tank, which is sold at 44.00. They also offer the pyrex tank without a screw.

With all that in mind, here is what I like!

  • Build Quality

This thing is an absolute monster! Right off the bat, I was taken aback by the quality of the pyrex. If I have ever seen such a solid, well rounded hefty chunk of glass, it would be today. By nature, it isn't overbearing, however it is thicker than your standard glass tank. I respect the bulk as it offers a certain piece of mind. I treat my pyrex tanks like…well, glass, but with the PO3 tank, it sports a rugged and tough by design construction. Not to mention it holds a generous 5ml of juice! I sincerely believe it could withstand a drop or two, which can’t be said for a few other tanks on the market.

The aluminum caps that seal the pyrex in place are of equal craftsmanship; boasting strong, reliable seals. I was skeptical how it would come together without o-rings, but the seals fit like a glove, with no giveaway or wobble. I can confirm with absolute certainty that it is leak proof, which is a dream in it of itself. Now, what I did notice is that the aluminum cap that houses the end of the carto, or your  510 connection, is not 22mm in diameter. I believe it’s a hair under 23mm, which can be a potential setback to those who prefer a flush look when paired with a mechanical mod. I don’t mind, but this can be a deal breaker for some.

The side screw feature is also done exceptionally well. The hole in the pyrex was machined very well, displaying no visible cracking, chipping, or uneven ridges. The screw itself is also a pleasure to use; it fits securely and screws in with little force required. A warm welcome, considering the force required in other tanks featuring the same fill up method. To fill is a breeze, simply tilt the tank on it’s side, (preferably) insert your needle cap and fill!

When you’re offered a hand crafted tank, the expectations are high. Not a lot of companies manufacture their own product, as it is an endeavor that could prove less than fruitful. I can honestly say my expectations were surpassed in every way imaginable. The tank retains its soul, its function, and it is definitely built to last.

  • Ease of use

As the sum of it’s part become the whole, it is a relatively painless venture. Simply insert your cartomizer into the bottom aluminum cap, prime with juice, and attach the top aluminum cap. Add a drip tip of your choice, and you’re good to go. For those who have no experience filling a carto, much less working with one, this won’t be a crash course. I will however attach a link, in which Schell provides a very in depth walkthrough.
Personally, I am not a fan of cartomizers, however this particular setup gave me little to no trouble.

  • Appearance

Assembled, I have to say, it is a very attractive tank. It is slightly larger than an aerotank, shorter than an aspire nautilus, yet nearly just as wide. As previously stated, it doesn’t fit the 22mm diameter a plethora of mechanical devices command, so it will not sit flush. However, it only sticks out a hair, and I find it quite unique atop a mod. When paired with a beauty ring, you can achieve a sleek, personable look. I really, really like the width to this tank, it is a chunky offering, yet it doesn't look obtrusive. Another plus is how well it fits in my pocket!

It's an eye catcher, and that is no understatement. When paired with your drip tip of choice, you'd be hard pressed finding a tank that can compete with the PO3 and it's stylistic offerings. The last thing I'd like to note is that it has no logo, no branding, of ANY KIND. I absolutely love this. It lets me feel like what I am using is truly one of a kind, without letting the entire world know

"Hey man, check me out. One of a kind over here..."

  • The Vape

This tank vapes very, very well! Provided you have taken the proper steps in priming your carto, it absolutely chucks the vapor and provides a very satisfying flavor. I have it atop an MVP currently set to 4.1 watts and I have to say, it is almost a mini fog machine! Those expecting to truly taste their juice will be very well welcomed by the PO3. As a person so used to the flavor and production of their own coils and tank setup, it's a nice change to not have to adjust anything, or to yearn for just a bit more.

Now here is what I do not like

  • Packaging

The PO3 tank arrived in a tiny cardboard box. To be perfectly honest, I was expecting something a bit more in line with the quality of the product itself. This doesn't mean I was expecting a grand box with a lock and key, however I felt that the tiny box left a little to be desired. For a hand built tank of such quality, it commands a certain level of pride. I know that the team is proud of this item; I just wish that it was packaged in a box that reflected this. A minor gripe, yet worth noting.

  • Functionality

I can’t directly link this to the tank itself, but I believe I should share my insight. Despite the fact I got it working with little trouble, this is rarely, if ever, the case. Cartomizers are a pain, something the majority of the community can attest to. When they work, they work. When they don’t…they can be a bit of a nightmare. If it isn't properly primed and saturated, a fire can lead to a permanently burnt wick. Not to mention cartomizers simply do not offer the lifespan that a standard coil does, as dry burning isn't exactly an option. They can leak, and when they do, it’s a terrible mess. When they flood, it’s similar to a ship taking water. Obviously your mileage eill vary depending on what type of cartomizer you use, however I can only imagine what they could accomplish if they retained the build quality but offered it in a  bottom/top coil configuration.

Overall, it is a genuinely well made tank that lived up to every expectation I had. If you’re a fan of cartomizers, I wouldn’t hesitate snatching this up in a heartbeat. If you are a first time user, I would recommend acclimating yourself to a simpler offering before moving onto this tank. With a wide variety of options and color, as well as an overall solid performance, it is with a great pride I give this tank the vapocalyptic  STAMP of approval.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to fill out the box to your right and get in touch. Stay tuned for my review on thevaporbar's own line of juice! Vape strong, live long everybody.
